The free glue of every Elation team. Unlocked by using Switch Paths during the Version 4.2 main story, Trailblazer (Elation) batteries the team's Punchline and Certified Banger economy and — uniquely — force-triggers a chosen ally's Elation Skill on demand with their Ultimate, while buffing that ally's CRIT DMG and dispelling Crowd Control. Everyone owns this form; here is how to build it.
A quick primer, since the Elation path (introduced in Version 4.0 under the Aeon Aha) plays by its own rules: Elation units generate a team-shared resource called Punchline. At 20 stacks, an "Aha Instant" triggers — every Elation unit on the team fires their personal Elation Skill, which scales with the Punchline consumed and cleanses Crowd Control. Units then hold Certified Banger stacks for roughly two turns, powering Elation DMG — a separate damage type with its own Elation stat. The whole engine is driven by Skill Point economy. Trailblazer (Elation) exists to keep that engine fed.

Trailblazer (Elation)'s job is to accelerate every step of this loop — and to skip the queue entirely by force-triggering an ally's Elation Skill with the Ultimate.
Note: the summaries below stick to what each ability verifiably does. Exact level-scaled multipliers are visible in-game on the ability screens.
SkillCertified Banger battery
Deals Lightning AoE DMG to enemies and grants 20 Certified Banger. While holding Certified Banger, the Skill gains bonus Elation DMG (via the Talent), so the button gets meaningfully stronger once the loop is running. This is the Trailblazer's on-turn contribution to the team's Elation economy — press it whenever Skill Points allow.
20Certified Banger
UltimateForced Elation Skill + cleanse
The reason this form is rated S+. Grants the team +5 Punchline, gives a designated ally +30% CRIT DMG for 3 turns, dispels Crowd Control from them, and immediately forces that ally's Elation Skill — no waiting for the 20-Punchline Aha Instant. If the target is not an Elation unit, they receive a 50% action advance instead. On-demand Elation Skill triggering lets you time your carry's burst exactly when you want it, and the built-in CC dispel doubles as an emergency save.
+30%CRIT DMG · 3 turns
TalentSelf-refueling loop
Restores Energy and Punchline after the Trailblazer attacks, and grants the Skill its bonus Elation DMG while holding Certified Banger. The passive keeps the Ultimate cycling and the team's Punchline pool climbing without any special play required — simply taking turns feeds the engine.
AutoEnergy + Punchline
Elation SkillAha Instant payoff
When an Aha Instant triggers (or when another Elation ally's Ultimate forces it), the Trailblazer fires 8 instances of random-target Lightning Elation DMG plus splash damage. Like all Elation Skills, the trigger also cleanses Crowd Control. Respectable free damage from a unit built as a support — but the real value is that each Aha Instant fires every Elation teammate's payoff at once.
8instances + splash
One honest caveat before you invest: outside Elation teams, most of this kit does nothing meaningful. The Punchline battery has no one to feed, the Certified Banger bonus has nothing to amplify, and the Ultimate's headline effect downgrades to a 50% action advance. Build this form for Elation comps, and use Trailblazer (Imaginary) or another form elsewhere.
Build Targets
Unlike pure Elation DPS units, the Trailblazer's build leans on conventional stats: Speed to take more turns (more attacks, more Energy, more Punchline), ATK and CRIT to make the Skill and Elation Skill hits count. Stat targets below follow Game8's published build recommendations for the form.

Our recommendation: the Ultimate is the reason this form is fielded — the forced Elation Skill and CRIT DMG buff — so raise it first. The Skill is next for its Certified Banger battery and Elation DMG scaling, then the Talent for the Energy/Punchline restore. The Basic ATK rarely matters at full investment.
Best Light Cones
Fittingly for a free unit, the best option here is not a gacha item — it comes from the Herta store. A fully free character can run a best-in-slot cone without spending a single pull.
#1
Elation Brimming With Blessings
Best-in-slot. An Elation path cone purchased from the Herta store, so every account can obtain it and superimpose it over time at zero pull cost. The clear pick for a unit whose whole identity is "free but essential."

When She Decided to See
Yao Guang's signature — Speed and Energy Regen with a party CRIT buff on Ultimate, all of which the Trailblazer's build wants. In practice your Yao Guang usually keeps it; hand it down only if she is running something else or sitting out the team.

#3
Mushy Shroomy's Adventures
The Elation workhorse 4-star from the Herta store. Raises the wearer's Elation stat and amplifies Elation DMG taken by enemies after the wearer's Elation Skill — generically useful on any Elation unit, this one included.

Cavern Sets
1
Diviner of Distant Reach
Best-in-slot. The 4-piece grants Speed and buffs the whole party's Elation stat — exactly what a dedicated Elation enabler should be wearing. You need 160 Speed to fully activate the set, which conveniently matches the form's recommended Speed target. Note the set is contested: Yao Guang and other Elation supports want it too, so budget your farming accordingly.

2
Eagle of Twilight Line
The fallback when Diviner of Distant Reach is claimed by another teammate. The 4-piece advances the Trailblazer's action after the Ultimate, translating directly into extra turns — extra attacks, Energy, and Punchline via the Talent.

Planar Ornament Sets
1
Lushaka, the Sunken Seas
Best planar set. Energy Regen Rate accelerates the all-important Ultimate, and the set buffs the ATK of the ally in the first roster slot — put your Elation carry there and the Trailblazer converts an ornament slot into a permanent team buff.

Sprightly Vonwacq
Alternative Energy Regen option that also advances the Trailblazer's first action, getting the opening Skill (and its 20 Certified Banger) online before enemies move.

Third option from current guides, contributing ATK plus a team CRIT DMG component. Fine if your Lushaka and Vonwacq pieces have poor substats.

Best Teams for Trailblazer (Elation)
Trailblazer (Elation) is the glue for every Elation composition — and does nothing meaningful outside them. Every team below is built around at least one Elation DPS: Evanescia, Silver Wolf LV.999, or Sparxie, typically alongside Yao Guang with Huohuo or Permansor Terrae holding the sustain slot.
The consensus best-in-slot mono-Elation lineup. Yao Guang brings RES PEN, Vulnerability, and extra Aha Instants; Huohuo's percentage-based Energy refund is enormous against Evanescia's giant 480 Energy pool. The Trailblazer's role: keep Punchline flowing and use the Ultimate to force Evanescia's Elation Skill — which feeds her Certified Banger flywheel — while stacking +30% CRIT DMG on her.
02 · Godmode PlayerFull-Elation Silver Wolf LV.999
Silver Wolf LV.999 explicitly wants other Elation units on the team — her performance suffers heavily without them. The free Trailblazer is her Punchline battery: every stack the team generates converts into her Hidden MMR, and the forced Elation Skill from the Ultimate adds burst on your schedule. Sparxie's Skill Point consumption feeds SW999's Loot Box engine; Yao Guang is the premium alternative in that slot.
The same enabler formula around Sparxie: three Elation units means every Aha Instant fires three Elation Skills at once, and the Trailblazer's Ultimate can force Sparxie's on demand for burst windows. Permansor Terrae swaps freely into the sustain slot.
The budget frame: whichever Elation DPS you own in the first slot, the free Trailblazer as glue, and Asta pushing team Speed — particularly valuable for Silver Wolf LV.999, whose build chases a 160 Speed breakpoint. Any sustain unit works in the last slot. Free Eidolons plus a Herta store cone mean this glue slot costs literally nothing.

Eidolons — All Six Are Free
There is no pull decision here: all six Eidolons are obtainable for free during Version 4.2, spread across story rewards, the regional shop, and item conversion. Collect everything — the only question is order. Below is how current build guides rate each node; exact effect text is on the in-game Eidolon screen.
E1
Strong opener
Rated "Great" in current guides. Activate it as soon as you claim the material from the 4.2 content — there is no reason to hold off on a free node.
GreatFree Unlock
E2
The standout — grab this first
Rated "Amazing" — the best node of the six. It boosts the Ultimate's Elation DMG, adding real damage to the button you are already pressing on cooldown for the forced Elation Skill. If you are choosing what to chase down first in the 4.2 shops and conversions, it is this.

E3

E4
Second-tier value
Rated "Great" alongside E1 and E6 — a meaningful step up for the kit's support loop, behind only E2 in impact.

E5
Incremental gains
Like E3, not separately called out by guides — take it as it comes. At zero cost, every level of investment is pure profit.

Rated "Great". Completing all six costs nothing but 4.2 playtime, and a maxed-out free S+ support is one of the best value propositions in the game right now — finish the set.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Elation form unlocks through the Switch Paths system during the Version 4.2 main story. Simply play the 4.2 story quest and the form is granted to your account for free — no banner, no pulls, no event grind required. Once unlocked, it joins your other Trailblazer forms (Physical, Fire, Imaginary, Ice) and you can switch between them outside combat.
Yes — all six. During Version 4.2 the Eidolon materials are distributed across story rewards, the regional shop, and item conversion, so a player who works through the 4.2 content can reach E6 without spending anything. E2 is the standout node (it boosts the Ultimate's Elation DMG) and is worth chasing down first; the rest arrive naturally as you play.
If you run — or plan to run — any Elation team, absolutely. It is a free 5-star currently rated S+ as a support, its Eidolons are free, and its best light cone comes from the Herta store. The Ultimate's package of on-demand Elation Skill triggering, +30% CRIT DMG for 3 turns, and a Crowd Control dispel is something every Elation composition wants, and the passive Punchline/Energy battery keeps the archetype's engine running. The total cost of a full build is relic farming and Herta Bonds.
No — and it is worth being blunt about this. Outside Elation teams, most of the kit does nothing meaningful: there is no one to spend the Punchline on, and the Certified Banger economy amplifies nothing. A non-Elation Ultimate target still receives the CRIT DMG buff, the cleanse, and a 50% action advance (instead of the forced Elation Skill), which is fine but not why you field this form. For general-purpose teams, Trailblazer (Imaginary) remains the free support of choice for Break comps.
Elation Brimming With Blessings, purchased from the Herta store — a best-in-slot cone at zero pull cost. When She Decided to See (Yao Guang's signature) is a strong alternative if she isn't wearing it, and Mushy Shroomy's Adventures is the reliable 4-star pick, with Tomorrow, Together as a budget fallback.
