As a 4-star, Gallagher's eidolons are relatively easy to obtain through standard banner pulls and Stellar Jade spending. E1 (20 Energy on entry + 50% Effect RES) and E2 (debuff cleanse on Skill + 30% Effect RES buff) are the most impactful and dramatically improve his survivability and utility. E4 (Besotted +1 turn duration) is a meaningful quality-of-life upgrade for break teams. E6 (20% Break Effect + 20% Weakness Break Efficiency) fully unlocks his break-support potential.
Aim for at least 134 Speed to gain more turns relative to most enemies and ensure his Besotted uptime stays high. In break teams with Ruan Mei, who also wants high speed, coordinate so Gallagher can consistently Ultimate before Besotted expires. The Ascension 4 trace's 100% Action Advance after Ultimate means his effective turn frequency is even higher than his raw Speed suggests.
Lingsha is a 5-star limited character who outperforms Gallagher in raw healing output and break synergy at high investment. However, Gallagher is a 4-star freely available through standard pulls and provides nearly equivalent team support at a fraction of the resource cost. For players without Lingsha, Gallagher is the undisputed best sustain in break teams. Even with Lingsha available, Gallagher remains top-tier for secondary team compositions.
