Skills

Basic Gleaming Admonition

Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 100% of Sunday's ATK to a single target enemy. Rarely used in practice since Sunday's Skill is almost always the better action, but it provides chip damage and minor energy generation when Skill Points are at their cap.

100% of ATK
Skill Benison of Paper and Rites

Enables one designated ally and their summon to immediately take action (100% Action Advance) and increases their DMG dealt by 30% for 2 turns. If the target has a summon, this DMG bonus is further boosted by an additional 50% (total 80%). If Sunday uses this Skill on The Beatified, he recovers 1 Skill Point. Cannot trigger the Action Advance on Harmony path allies.

80% DMG (summon)
Ultimate Ode to Caress and Cicatrix

Costs 130 Energy. Regenerates Energy equal to 20% of Max Energy for one designated ally and transforms the target and their summon into "The Beatified" for 3 turns. The Beatified gains CRIT DMG equal to 30% of Sunday's CRIT DMG + 12%. Duration decreases by 1 at the start of each of Sunday's turns. Dispelled if Sunday is knocked down.

30% CRIT DMG xfer
Talent The Sorrowing Body

When Sunday uses his Skill, increases the target's CRIT Rate by 20%, lasting for 3 turns. This passive CRIT Rate buff is always active on his carry, persisting for 3 turns even if Sunday acts between Skill uses. The extended duration means follow-up attackers and counter characters reliably benefit on their off-turn actions.

+20% CRIT Rate, 3T
Technique The Glorious Mysteries

After using this Technique, the first time Sunday uses an ability on an ally in the next battle, the target's DMG dealt increases by 50% for 2 turns. An outstanding pre-battle opener that accelerates burst windows in the opening cycle, particularly strong for carries that want to dump their Ultimate in the first few actions.

Skill and Ultimate scale equally in value; both raise the DMG buff ceiling and the CRIT DMG transfer respectively. Talent's CRIT Rate boost is less impactful per level but still worth leveling for competitive endgame. Basic ATK sees almost no use.

A Grounded Ascent
A Grounded Ascent
His signature and best-in-slot by a wide margin. After using Skill or Ultimate on an ally, Sunday regenerates 8 Energy and grants the target up to 3 stacks of "Hymn" (24% DMG each). Also recovers 1 Skill Point every 2 Skill/Ultimate uses, making Sunday genuinely SP-positive. Enables the critical 3-action rotation for full Beatified uptime.

#2
The Battle Isn't Over
The Battle Isn't Over
The best non-signature option. Provides 18% Energy Regen Rate, recovers 1 SP per 2 Ultimates, and grants the next acting ally 50% bonus DMG for 1 turn when Sunday uses Skill. The 1-turn duration is notably worse than the signature's 3-stack "Hymn," especially for summon characters, but it's accessible from the Stellar Warp pool.
stellar warp
#3
Earthly Escapade
Earthly Escapade
Grants CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG buffs to all allies when Sunday has high CRIT himself. A competitive pick if well-superimposed, particularly in teams where both CRIT stats are needed across the board rather than on a single target.
alternative
#4
Planetary Rendezvous
Planetary Rendezvous
Increases DMG dealt by allies matching the wearer's element. Since Sunday is Imaginary, this synergizes best in Imaginary-heavy teams but is available from the Stellar Warp, a viable F2P-accessible pick in element-matching team compositions.

#5
Past and Future
Past and Future
Budget option. The next ally after Sunday's Skill gains 32% DMG for 1 turn at S5. The 1-turn duration is the main drawback, as it barely benefits summons or off-turn attackers, and Sunday will struggle to maintain his 3-action rotation without additional Energy sources.

Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal
Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal (4pc)
Sunday's best-in-slot for the standard -1 Speed build. The 4-piece bonus triggers whenever he uses Skill or Ultimate on an ally, granting the target up to 2 stacks of 18% CRIT DMG each (36% total), lasting 2 turns. This stacks on top of his Ultimate's own CRIT DMG transfer, pushing ally CRIT DMG to extraordinary levels. Used by the overwhelming majority of Sunday players.

2
Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
Messenger Traversing Hackerspace (4pc)
Increases SPD by 6% (2pc) and when Sunday uses his Ultimate on an ally, all allies gain 12% SPD for 1 turn. Best suited for Hyperspeed Sunday builds where the SPD buff can cascade into additional turn advantage. Requires careful timing to get the most value from the 1-turn boost.

3

Sacerdos' (2pc) + Flex 2pc Mix
Mixing the 2pc SPD bonus from Sacerdos' with another 2pc (such as Diviner of Distant Reach or Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder) is a reasonable fallback for players who cannot complete a clean 4pc Sacerdos' with good substats. Still grants the 6% SPD and lets you keep well-rolled pieces.

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas
Lushaka, the Sunken Seas
Best planar set for Sunday. Provides 5% Energy Regeneration Rate and, if Sunday is not the first character in the team lineup, increases the ATK of the first character by 12%. Extremely high-value for supporting an ATK-scaling DPS while helping Sunday hit his 3-action rotation energy threshold.
2-piece 83% player usage
2
Broken Keel
Broken Keel
Solid alternative. Grants 10% Effect RES to Sunday and, when his Effect RES reaches 30% or higher, all allies gain 10% CRIT DMG. A great pick in teams that already want high Effect RES on Sunday, stacking additional universal CRIT DMG on top of his existing buffs.
2-pieceeffect res build
3
Fleet of the Ageless
Fleet of the Ageless
Provides HP% and, when Sunday's SPD reaches 120 or higher (easily met), all allies gain 8% ATK. Best in teams where the ATK buff is valuable and you do not need the Energy Regen from Lushaka. A secondary option behind Lushaka for most builds.

Best Teams for Sunday

Sunday's core role is the dedicated single-target amplifier. Build him at -1 SPD relative to your carry to grant them continuous double actions. Every team below follows that principle while filling the remaining slots with a sustain and a second buffer or debuffer.

Eidolons

E 1
Millennium's Quietus
When Sunday uses Skill, the target character can ignore 16% of enemy DEF when dealing DMG, and their summon can ignore 40% of enemy DEF, lasting for 2 turns. Massive DEF shred on summons makes this extraordinarily powerful for Jing Yuan's Lightning-Lord. Highly recommended for players going past E0.
High Pull ValueSummon Synergy
E 2
Faith Outstrips Frailty
After the first use of Ultimate in a battle, recovers 2 Skill Points. The DMG dealt by "The Beatified" increases by 30%. The SP recovery takes significant pressure off SP management, and the flat 30% DMG boost to The Beatified at the start of a fight is an enormous power spike.
Game Changer
E 3
Hermitage of Thorns
Ultimate level +2 (up to maximum level 15). Basic ATK level +1 (up to maximum level 10). The Ultimate level increase boosts the CRIT DMG transferred to The Beatified at every use, providing a consistent raw power increase to his most important buff.
Solid Upgrade
E 4
Sculpture's Preamble
When Sunday's turn starts, regenerates 8 Energy. This passive energy trickle significantly eases rotation consistency, particularly at low signature/light cone investment. Reduces reliance on taking hits or Energy Regen substats to maintain his 3-action Ultimate cycle.
Comfort Upgrade
E 5
Paper Raft in Silver Bay
Skill level +2 (up to maximum level 15). Talent level +2 (up to maximum level 15). Increases both the DMG buff ceiling on his Skill and the CRIT Rate on his Talent. Solid incremental improvement for players deep into Sunday investment.
Incremental
E 6
Dawn of Sidereal Cacophony
The Talent's CRIT Rate boost becomes stackable up to 3 times and its duration increases by 1 turn. When Sunday uses Ultimate, the Talent's CRIT Rate boost is also applied to the target. When excess CRIT Rate would exceed 100%, every 1% of excess converts to 2% CRIT DMG, turning overcapped CRIT Rate into even more damage.

Major Traces

Rest Day's Longing
Ascension 2
When using Ultimate, if the Energy regenerated for the target is less than 40 Energy, the amount is increased to 40. This prevents Sunday's Ultimate from being "wasted" on targets with very low Max Energy costs, guaranteeing a meaningful contribution even in unusual team compositions.
Exalted Sweep
Ascension 4
When battle starts, Sunday regenerates 25 Energy immediately. This significantly reduces the number of actions required before firing his first Ultimate, letting him place The Beatified on his carry within the first 2–3 actions of a fight rather than waiting a full rotation.
Haven in Palm
Ascension 6
When using Skill, dispels 1 debuff from the target. Prevents his carry from being action-locked or stat-reduced after Sunday applies the Action Advance. Particularly crucial in Memory of Chaos where enemies frequently apply Crowd Control or debilitating status effects.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, but it makes a meaningful difference. Without A Grounded Ascent, Sunday struggles to maintain his 3-action rotation consistently without enemy hits providing incidental energy. The Battle Isn't Over is a solid alternative from the Stellar Warp, but you will need to supplement it with an Energy Rope and possibly an Energy Regen planar set to hit the rotation reliably. Past and Future is a workable F2P fallback at S5.
Sunday has two Speed builds. The -1 SPD build is the most common and usually strongest: set Sunday 1 Speed lower than your carry (most commonly 134 SPD when paired with a 135 SPD carry). This ensures Sunday acts right after his target, then immediately uses Skill to advance them again, effectively granting the carry double actions throughout the fight. The alternative Hyperspeed build (160+ SPD) grants Sunday's own Speed value to his ally via Action Advance, letting you ignore Speed on the carry entirely, but it yields fewer total actions in most fights.
In most scenarios, yes. Sunday's Skill DMG buff lasts 2 turns (versus Bronya's 1-turn equivalent), making him far superior for off-turn attackers, follow-up characters, and summon-based carries. His Talent's 3-turn CRIT Rate buff is also more forgiving than Bronya's self-advancing mechanic. Against Sparkle, Sunday's 100% Action Advance is significantly more powerful than Sparkle's partial advance. Both Bronya and Sparkle remain strong investments (especially Bronya as a standard 5-star), but Sunday outperforms them in virtually all current endgame teams.
The Action Advance portion of Sunday's Skill is restricted from triggering on characters following The Harmony path to prevent infinite action loops (two Harmony characters endlessly advancing each other). The DMG buff and CRIT Rate buff from his Talent still apply normally; it is only the "immediately take action" effect that is blocked. This means pairing Sunday with other Harmony supports like Robin or Sparkle is perfectly viable; they simply won't get the Action Advance.
When Sunday uses his Ultimate on an ally, that ally and their summon become "The Beatified" for 3 turns. The Beatified gain CRIT DMG equal to 30% of Sunday's own CRIT DMG plus 12%. The duration ticks down at the start of each of Sunday's turns, not the target's turns; this is key. In a perfect 3-action rotation (Skill, Skill, Ultimate, repeat), Sunday maintains The Beatified on his carry indefinitely. If Sunday loses a turn or his Ultimate is delayed, the buff expires and must be reapplied.
E0 Sunday is already SS Tier and the best Harmony support in the game. If you want to invest further, E1 (16%/40% DEF ignore) is the highest-value single eidolon for summon teams, and E2 (2 SP recovery + 30% DMG boost) is a powerful general upgrade. E6 unlocks a CRIT Rate-to-CRIT DMG conversion mechanic that is extremely powerful at high CRIT investment levels. Overall, E0 clears all content; eidolons are welcome power boosts but never requirements.
