Talent first: its levels scale Master Fox and every Elation DMG rider attached to her Skill and Ultimate. Skill second because it is cast almost every turn. Ultimate third — it is already guaranteed max CB value, so its base multiplier is the least urgent. Level the Elation Skill alongside the Talent when materials allow; it is her Aha Instant payload.
One warning that separates good Evanescia builds from great ones: do not over-speed her. Certified Banger lasts two turns, and multiple sources report that pushing her Speed past the 134 breakpoint can cause CB stacks to expire before her damage windows. Either commit to 134 exactly, or leave her at base 104 and spend those substat rolls on CRIT instead — both are supported tunings, and base-speed Evanescia loses remarkably little.

Her light cone slot wants the same two things her relics do: CRIT DMG that converts into Elation, and Energy Regeneration that spins the flywheel faster. The signature does both at once, which is why it leads by a wide margin — but Evanescia is unusually kind to F2P players here, because a battle pass 4-star lands within striking distance of it.

Because her teams generate Punchline constantly through her Skill and her Elation teammates, the DEF-ignore rides at or near cap for most of every fight. Nothing else in the game buffs her Elation damage line at all.

The result is a closed loop: the ornament's CRIT DMG raises her Elation, which secures the ornament's CRIT DMG. No other planar set interacts with the Elation stat at all, which is why nothing else is recommended.

Best Teams for Evanescia
One rule governs every Evanescia team: feed the flywheel. Energy, Punchline, and Certified Banger are all interchangeable currency for her, so the best teammates are the ones who generate them fastest — which in practice means other Elation units. She is friendlier to hybrid comps than Silver Wolf LV.999 is, but her ceiling still lives in the mono-Elation core. One counterintuitive result worth flagging: Sunday is explicitly not a great pick for her — Sparkle is the non-Elation amplifier of choice.
Yao Guang is near-mandatory here: 20% RES PEN, a 16% Vulnerability debuff, and extra Aha Instants that multiply Evanescia's Elation Skill casts. The free Trailblazer (Elation) forces Elation Skills on demand with their Ultimate and hands out +30% CRIT DMG. Huohuo is the ideal sustain because her Energy refund is percentage-based — against Evanescia's 480 pool that is 96 Energy per cast, worth nearly half an Ultimate every time. Cyrene can hand Evanescia an instant 480 Energy — a full pool, two banked Ultimates, on demand. Because her Talent mirrors that Energy into Certified Banger, the opening double Ultimate arrives with the flywheel already spun up. Sparkle supplies CRIT DMG amplification and Skill Point relief so Evanescia never has to Basic ATK. The strongest "delete the first wave" configuration she has.

The practical difference is flexibility: Silver Wolf LV.999 demands a committed Elation roster and a strict 160 SPD build, while Evanescia gets ~54% CRIT Rate free from traces, tolerates base Speed, and was described as likely the strongest DPS in the game on her release, with a very high floor in both AoE and single-target. If you own neither, Evanescia is the safer, stronger pick. If you already have SW999 invested, Evanescia is skippable — and note that as of Version 4.4, neither unit has a rerun scheduled.
Her E1 is the headline: 20% All-Type RES PEN plus a free Elation Skill cast after every Master Fox attack, called possibly the single best first Eidolon for a DPS in the game. The consensus investment order is E1 before her signature light cone. E2's +36% CRIT DMG double-dips through her Talent's CRIT-DMG-to-Elation conversion and upgrades her CB steal, making it the biggest jump before E6. E6 extends CB to 3 turns and converts her CB stockpile into up to a 1.35× final damage multiplier — transformative, but priced for dedicated accounts.
