No. In the current meta, Kafka's support role is often better served by Lies Dance on the Breeze or Before the Tutorial Mission Starts. Patience Is All You Need is still strong for a pure DPS build but is no longer her unconditional best-in-slot. F2P players can clear all endgame content comfortably with Before the Tutorial Mission Starts or Good Night and Sleep Well.
Kafka's Skill (Caressing Moonlight) causes all DoTs currently on the target enemy to immediately deal DMG equal to 60% of their original damage. This means a Shock tick that would deal 10,000 DMG at the start of the turn will instead deal 6,000 DMG instantly when the Skill hits. Combined with Black Swan's Arcana stacks, this can produce enormous bursts of damage each turn rather than waiting for natural DoT ticks.
Aim for 156 SPD or higher SPD breakpoints. Any speed breakpoint from 156 SPD and above gives Kafka meaningful extra turns per cycle to trigger DoTs more frequently. If you have Lies Dance on the Breeze equipped, target 170 SPD to fully utilize that light cone's passives. Speed is Kafka's most impactful stat alongside Effect Hit Rate; prioritize SPD feet and SPD substats above everything else.

Yes, but Black Swan is her best partner by a wide margin. Without Black Swan, run any other DoT unit in that slot; Sampo, Guinaifen, Luka, or Serval are all viable 4-star alternatives whose DoTs Kafka's Skill will still trigger. The team performs worse without Black Swan's Arcana multiplier but remains strong enough for all endgame content with good enough substats on Kafka herself.
E1 and E2 are both excellent value. E1 (Da Capo) adds a 30% DoT amplification on every follow-up trigger, a strong damage bonus with no build requirements. E2 (Fortississimo) boosts all allies' DoT damage by 25%, making it a significant team-wide upgrade that grows stronger the more DoT units you run. E6 (Leggiero) is transformative at 156% Shock DMG multiplier increase, but costs 6 copies of a limited 5-star and is best left for dedicated Kafka mains.
