The Sixth Head of the Tohsaka family crosses over from the Fate/stay night [UBW] collab as a Quantum Erudition Support DPS. Rin converts the team's skill point traffic into Gem Energy and CRIT DMG buffs, and alongside Archer she unleashes the game's first dual-unit Joint Follow-up ATK — a skill-point-refunding nuke that makes the pair one of Version 4.4's premier duos.
Rin's banner "The Gem Coursing in Red" opened July 24, 2026 and is open-ended — it has no scheduled end date, so there is zero FOMO pressure. Pity is shared across all four Fate collab warps (including Saber's and Gilgamesh's), collab 5-stars never enter the standard pool, and every 200 combined collab pulls grants a selector for one collab 5-star light cone. Full details on our banners page.
Skills
Rin's entire kit orbits one resource: Gem Energy. She starts every battle with 20, gains 1 whenever any ally spends or recovers a skill point, and spends it in bulk on her Enhanced Skill's bounce barrage. Because the same skill point traffic also triggers her Talent's CRIT DMG buff, a fast SP cycle simultaneously feeds her damage and the team's — which is why SP-generous supports like Sparkle turn her from good into exceptional.
BasicBajiquan
Deals Quantum DMG equal to 50–110% of Rin's ATK to a single enemy. A simple filler — but note that in her core rotation Rin rarely wants to Basic at all, since her normal Skill costs nothing extra once enhanced and her value comes from cycling skill points through the team.
50–110%of ATK
SkillJeweled Sword Zelretch
Deals Quantum DMG equal to 90–198% of Rin's ATK to a single enemy. This is only her fallback state: the moment Rin holds 15+ Gem Energy or the team sits at 7+ skill points, this Skill automatically enhances into Second Magic Experiment — which is where her real damage lives.
90–198%of ATK
EnhancedSecond Magic Experiment
Deals AoE Quantum DMG equal to 45–99% of Rin's ATK to all enemies (in 4 hits), then consumes 3 Gem Energy per bounce to strike a random enemy for another 45–99% each, repeating for up to 33 cycles — roughly 3,060% of ATK at full charge. It costs no skill point to use; instead, if the team holds more than 2 SP it drains skill points down to 2, converting each consumed point into 2 extra Gem Energy. A jewel-fueled machine gun that turns hoarded SP into direct damage.
≈3060%max potential
UltimateAn Gal Ta Ki Gal Šè
Costs 160 Energy. Deals Quantum DMG equal to 300–660% of Rin's ATK to one designated enemy and 100–220% to every other target. On cast it recovers 1 skill point for the team and increases the DMG taken by all enemies by 10–22% for 3 turns — a genuine teamwide amplification window layered on top of her personal burst.

TalentGem Magecraft
Rin enters combat with 20 Gem Energy. Whenever an ally consumes or recovers skill points, that ally gains +35–77% CRIT DMG for 2 turns, and Rin gains 1 Gem Energy per point moved. This is the engine of the whole kit: every Skill cast anywhere on the team is simultaneously a personal buff for that ally and fuel for Rin's next barrage. In SP-hungry lineups the buff has near-permanent uptime.
+35–77%ally CRIT DMG
Talent 2Freeform Tohsaka Style
The collab's headline mechanic — the game's first dual-unit Joint Follow-up ATK. After Archer attacks with his Skill "Caladbolg II: Fake Spiral Sword", if skill points are at 3 or fewer (or Caladbolg has been actively used 5 times in the current Circuit Connection state), Rin and Archer launch a joint AoE strike dealing 150–330% of EACH unit's ATK — Archer first in 4 hits, then Rin in 5 — and refund 4 skill points to the team. Triggers once per Rin turn-cycle. It is both a nuke and the release valve that keeps the SP economy from ever bottoming out.
150–330% ×2each unit's ATK
TechniqueConversion Charge
After using her Technique, Rin gains 10 Gem Energy at the start of the next battle — stacking on top of her baseline 20 from Gem Magecraft. Starting at 30 Gem Energy means her very first Skill of the fight is already the enhanced Second Magic Experiment with a healthy bounce count. Use it before every serious encounter.

Build Targets
Two Ways to Build Rin
Support DPS (default, E0)
The standard configuration for Archer teams. Rin runs SPD boots and an Energy Regen rope to cycle her Ultimate's DMG-taken debuff and keep the Joint Follow-up ATK triggering every turn-cycle. Her personal damage still matters, but consistency of buffs, debuffs, and SP refunds comes first.
Main DPS (E1 + signature)
With E1's Shadow Gem banking her biggest Enhanced Skill casts, Rin can carry her own team. Swap to ATK% boots and an ATK% rope, sit near base SPD so allies feed her more Gem Energy between turns, and run the Tengoku@Livestream or Rutilant Arena ornaments. Cerydra is the key partner here.

Talent first — it levels both the ally CRIT DMG buff (35% to 77%) and the Joint Follow-up ATK multipliers. Skill second, since Second Magic Experiment's bounces scale from it. Ultimate third for the DMG-taken debuff (10% to 22%). Basic ATK last; she barely presses it.

#1
⊕
Flickering Stars
Her signature and best-in-slot. Grants CRIT Rate, and when an ally consumes 4 or more skill points in a single turn — trivial once Second Magic Experiment starts draining the pool — it triggers Radiant Crown for 3 turns: allies ignore a portion of enemy DEF and the wearer's Skill DMG rises. Exact superimposition values vary between early sources, so treat specific percentages with caution; community sims place it roughly 14–24% ahead of the field.

#2
Life Should Be Cast to Flames
Strong 5-star Erudition alternative if you already own it. Its crit-focused stat line and damage amplification suit both of Rin's configurations, though it does nothing for her SP economy the way the signature does.
5-star alt
#3
Into the Unreachable Veil
Another 5-star hand-me-down option, geared toward Skill and Ultimate damage. Rin's rotation is almost entirely Skill casts, so the profile fits — best on the main-DPS build where her personal damage share is highest.
5-star alt
#4
Eternal Calculus
The best truly free option — available in the Herta store. Stacking ATK from multi-target hits synergizes cleanly with the AoE opener and bounce spray of Second Magic Experiment. If you are not pulling Flickering Stars, this is the recommended long-term home.

Battle Pass 4-star that converts Rin's chunky 160 Energy cap into a flat damage bonus. Easy to superimpose for BP holders and perfectly serviceable while farming better options.

The Day The Cosmos Fell
Freely obtainable stopgap. Its conditional crit payoff against weakness-matched enemies is unreliable in general content, but it costs nothing and holds the slot until the Herta store yields Eternal Calculus.

Genius of Brilliant Stars
Best-in-slot for both builds. Quantum DMG from the 2-piece feeds every hit she throws, and the 4-piece's DEF-ignore — amplified further against Quantum-weak enemies — is exactly the kind of multiplier a bounce-heavy kit compounds across 30+ instances. In an all-Quantum core with Archer, the weakness condition is usually implanted anyway.

2
The Ashblazing Grand Duke
A dedicated Archer-support pick. Rin's share of the Joint Follow-up ATK lands in 5 separate hits, ramping the 4-piece's per-hit ATK stacks quickly, and the 2-piece's follow-up DMG bonus applies to the joint strike wholesale. Choose this only if the joint attack is the bulk of her job in your lineup.

Scholar Lost in Erudition
The farmable fallback. CRIT Rate plus Skill and Ultimate DMG maps directly onto a rotation that is nearly all Skill casts. Substat quality decides between this and a half-formed Genius set — well-rolled Scholar pieces beat badly-rolled BiS pieces.

Planar Ornaments — Support Build
1
Penacony, Land of the Dreams
Best support ornament. The Energy Regen helps her hit the ~119–124% ERR target for consistent Ultimate cycling, and its damage bonus for same-element allies means Archer — also Quantum — gets a piece of Rin's gear budget for free. Textbook synergy for the duo.

Second-best support option, favored in duo-DPS arrangements where both damage dealers want amplification. Use it when your Penacony pieces are poorly rolled or already claimed by another support.

Top ornament once Rin graduates to carrying her own team at E1S1. Pure offensive throughput for a unit that no longer needs the Energy Regen crutch to justify her turns.

The classic Skill-DPS ornament: CRIT Rate plus Basic and Skill DMG. An easy hand-me-down that many accounts already have well-rolled, and it loses very little to Tengoku@Livestream in practice.

Best Teams for Rin Tohsaka
Be honest with yourself before pulling: at E0, Rin is a one-team specialist. Prydwen puts it bluntly — she has "virtually no use outside Archer teams at E0." The saving grace is that the one team she plays in is top-of-meta: Archer was bumped to Game8's SS tier on the day she released. Her Joint Follow-up ATK, shared A2 buffs, and SP refunds are all wired specifically into his kit. From E1 with her signature cone, a second life opens up as a Quantum main DPS.
The best-in-slot composition. Sparkle is the core third slot, not a flex: her skill point loop is the Gem Energy engine — every point she generates and every point the team spends double-dips into Rin's Talent, buffing the spender's CRIT DMG and charging the next Second Magic Experiment. Archer devours the SP that Rin's Ultimate and Joint Follow-up ATK refund, and Huohuo keeps two energy-hungry units cycling while healing without SP cost.
The lower-cost variant: Archer can be claimed completely free through the Fate Contract: Renewal giveaway (available until Version 4.6 ends), which makes Rin the only new pull in this lineup for many accounts. Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae covers sustain duties; the core Rin–Archer–Sparkle triangle is unchanged.
The hypercarry configuration for E1S1 Rin. Cerydra is the star enabler: she duplicates Rin's high-stack Enhanced Skill without consuming Gem Energy, effectively doubling her biggest barrages for free. Sparkle keeps the SP-to-Gem pipeline flowing, and Huohuo's energy regeneration accelerates the 160-cost Ultimate. Not recommended at E0 — the Shadow Gem banking from E1 is what makes this archetype function.
A note on the other half of the collab: Saber and Gilgamesh form the parallel Fate duo with their own joint mechanic, and the two pairs do not mix — Rin's kit checks for Archer by name. If you are choosing between duos, Prydwen rates Archer and Rin as the stronger of the two, and both verdicts live on our Version 4.4 tier list.

Eidolons
E1
Zelretch's Apprentice
If a single Enhanced Skill cast consumes 30 or more Gem Energy, Rin banks the consumed amount as Shadow Gem. While holding Shadow Gem, her Skill stays enhanced — and that Enhanced Skill spends the Shadow Gem instead, consuming no Gem Energy and skipping the SP-to-Gem drain. In plain terms: her biggest barrage gets replayed for free. Community estimates put this around a 26% personal damage gain, and it is the eidolon that unlocks her main-DPS career.

E2
Dimensional Traveler
Rin's own Skill DMG increases by 30%, and while she is on the field, Skill DMG dealt by all allies becomes 130% of the original — an independent multiplier, not an additive bonus. For a unit whose best friend fires his Skill constantly, this is her single best support eidolon and a teamwide throughput jump that additive buffs cannot replicate.
Best Support Eidolon
E3
Holy Grail War: Victory Memorial
Skill level +2 (max 15) and Basic ATK level +1 (max 10). A straightforward numbers bump to Second Magic Experiment's per-bounce scaling — welcome, but never a reason to pull on its own.

E4
Red Devil: Triple Speed
The CRIT DMG buff from Gem Magecraft can now stack up to 2 times on Rin herself. Since skill points are moving on nearly every action in her teams, self-uptime at double stacks is close to permanent — a quiet but meaningful boost for the main-DPS build in particular.

E5
Goddess of Venus's Favor

Nailed It This Time!
Rin's All-Type RES PEN increases by 20%, and using her Ultimate grants 24 Gem Energy plus 1 extra turn. The extra turn flows straight into another Enhanced Skill off the freshly granted gems — the full whale ceiling, where her burst windows start chaining into each other.

Ascension 2
While Rin is on the field, the team's skill point cap rises by 2. On entering combat she gains +150% ATK and +15% Quantum RES PEN — and if Archer is in the team, he receives the same buffs automatically. The single most load-bearing trace in her kit: it is why her gear can chase Speed and Energy Regen while her in-combat ATK still clears 2,500+.
Ladylike Poise
Ascension 4
When entering combat or after using her Enhanced Skill, Rin's SPD increases by 20% for 3 turns. Thief's Instinct / Usurper's Scheme / Conqueror's Will
Effectively, yes — at E0. Her Joint Follow-up ATK, the auto-shared A2 buffs, and her SP refunds all reference Archer by name, and Prydwen's assessment is that she has "virtually no use outside Archer teams at E0." The good news is twofold: that one team is top-of-meta, and if you missed Archer, the Fate Contract: Renewal giveaway still lets you claim him free (choice of Archer or Gilgamesh) before Version 4.6 ends. Only at E1 with her signature light cone does a genuine Archer-free path open up, as a main DPS alongside Sparkle and Cerydra.
It doesn't — at least, not on any announced schedule. "The Gem Coursing in Red" opened on July 24, 2026 and runs indefinitely, with no end date. That makes Rin one of the rare limited units you can pull for without deadline pressure: finish other priorities first, claim your free Archer, and come back whenever your jades allow. Track the full schedule on our banners page.
Three special rules apply. First, pity is shared across all four Fate collab warps — pulls on Rin's banner count toward pity on Archer's, Saber's, and Gilgamesh's, and vice versa. Second, collab 5-stars never enter the standard pool, so this warp family is the only way to get them. Third, every 200 combined pulls across the collab warps grants a selector for one collab 5-star light cone — a meaningful consolation track if you are pulling for multiple Servants.
The archetype is "Support DPS," and both halves are real. At E0 she is a sub-DPS and amplifier: her Talent hands out up to 77% CRIT DMG whenever skill points move, her Ultimate applies a teamwide DMG-taken debuff, and her Enhanced Skill contributes serious personal damage between buffs. At E1 with Flickering Stars, Shadow Gem banking lets her replay her largest barrages for free, and she becomes a legitimate Quantum main DPS. Prydwen rates her T0 in Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadow (T0.5 in Pure Fiction), and she holds an SS rating on our Version 4.4 tier list.
Rin starts battle with 20 Gem Energy (30 with her Technique), and gains 1 whenever any ally consumes or recovers a skill point. At 15+ Gem Energy — or whenever the team holds 7+ skill points — her Skill enhances into Second Magic Experiment. The enhanced cast opens with an AoE, then spends 3 Gem Energy per bounce for up to 33 cycles, and drains team SP down to 2, converting each drained point into 2 more Gem Energy. Her A6 trace adds 12 Gem Energy on every Ultimate. The practical takeaway: the more skill points your team generates and spends, the harder Rin hits — SP-positive supports are her best friends.
It is comfortably her best-in-slot — CRIT Rate plus the Radiant Crown window (allies ignore DEF, wearer Skill DMG up) whenever an ally consumes 4+ skill points in a turn, which her own Enhanced Skill triggers naturally. Community sims place it roughly 14–24% ahead of alternatives, though exact superimposition values still vary between early sources, so treat precise numbers with caution. For the support build at E0, Eternal Calculus from the Herta store is close enough that the cone is a luxury; for the E1 main-DPS build it is a near-requirement. Remember it can also be selected via the 200-pull collab light cone selector.
