Version 4.6 is the next Honkai: Star Rail patch, expected September 27/28, 2026 — the current Version 4.5 is a shortened five-week patch, so the boundary comes early. HSR 4.6 release date
Version 4.6 is expected on September 27/28, 2026. HoYoverse has not officially confirmed the date, but the arithmetic is short: Version 4.5 went live August 26 as a shortened five-week patch, which puts the changeover in that window. Treat the date as expected, not locked — the usual special program livestream, roughly a week and a half before launch, is what confirms it. We'll update this page the moment that happens.
HSR 4.6 characters revealed so far
Drip marketing for 4.6 opened on August 11 with a single reveal. As of August 29, the second character has not been announced — recent patches have carried two new 5-stars each, so expect another reveal, but nothing is official yet.
What the reveal did tell us about Pearl is lore, and it's substantial: she is one of the Ten Stonehearts of the IPC, holding the cornerstone P45; CEO of Planarcadia; an Intellitron from Planet Screwllum; and a specialist in artwork investment. She is also the second Elation 5-star in a row after Aventurine • Waveflair — kit details, banner phase, and her signature light cone are all still unannounced.
The Zenless Zone Zero collab
The ZZZ crossover is officially confirmed for winter 2026, and it's one-way: ZZZ characters come to Honkai: Star Rail, not the reverse. What's not confirmed is the patch. No exact date has been announced, so the collab may land in 4.6 — or it may not, with "winter" comfortably stretching into the patches after it. We won't pretend to know; this section gets rewritten the day it's dated.
Beyond that, leaks circulate as always — new relic sets are rumored for 4.6, but nothing about them is confirmed, so we're not printing details.
What 4.6 means for the HSR tier list
Pearl gets placed on the tier list the day 4.6 goes live. We don't rank characters we can't test on live endgame content — and in Pearl's case there's nothing to even preview yet, since her kit hasn't been revealed. Once it is, this page gets a proper kit section; once she's live, her placement and reasoning get logged in the changelog like every other movement.
