Skills

Basic Aegis Vitae

Deals Physical DMG equal to 100% of Permansor Terrae's ATK to one designated enemy. Rarely used in practice since his Skill generates shields and Skill Points are generally spent on the DPS, but a functional damage filler during phases where shields are already maxed.

100% of ATK
Skill Terra Omnibus Defense

Designates one ally as the "Bondmate" and provides all allies with a Shield that offsets DMG equal to 20% of Permansor Terrae's ATK + 400 for 3 turns. Shields stack up to 300% of the current Shield value when reapplied. The Bondmate tag transfers to the most recently targeted ally. Summoning the Souldragon and enabling the Empyreanity ATK buff are triggered when this skill is used.

20% ATK as shield
Ultimate A Dragon's Zenith Knows No Rue

Costs 135 Energy. Deals Physical DMG equal to 300% of ATK to all enemies and provides a fresh Shield to all allies equal to 20% ATK + 400 for 3 turns (stackable). Also enhances Souldragon: while enhanced, Souldragon's actions launch a Follow-up ATK dealing 80% of Permansor Terrae's ATK as Physical DMG to all enemies plus 80% of the Bondmate's ATK as their element type DMG. Enhancement lasts for 2 Souldragon actions (4 at E2).

300% AoE ATK
Talent Of Virtue, Forms Unfold

When an ally becomes the Bondmate, Permansor Terrae summons Souldragon (initial SPD 165). Souldragon takes independent turns: each action dispels 1 debuff from all allies and provides a Shield equal to 10% ATK + 200 for 3 turns. The combined shield cap is 300% of the Skill's shield value. Souldragon disappears if Permansor Terrae or the Bondmate is knocked down. When enhanced, Souldragon additionally deals bonus DMG to the enemy with the highest HP equal to 40% of the Bondmate's ATK.

165 Souldragon SPD
Technique Earthrend Impair

After using Technique, gains the "Bondmate" buff and inflicts Daze on nearby enemies for 10 seconds; dazed enemies will not actively attack allies. When switching the active character, Bondmate transfers to that character. At the start of the next battle, automatically uses Skill once on the Bondmate character without consuming any Skill Points, immediately setting up Souldragon and shields for free.

Skill, Ultimate, and Talent are all equally important and should be upgraded together, as all three directly increase shield values and Souldragon performance. Basic ATK sees very little use in a properly built team.

Best Light Cones

#1
Though Worlds Apart
Though Worlds Apart
His signature and the only Preservation Light Cone that grants ATK. Increases ATK by 64–128%, heals all allies on Ultimate use, and grants "Redoubt" which gives all allies 24–48% increased DMG, further boosted if they have a summon (Souldragon qualifies). The healing makes rough sustaining windows much safer.
26% usage
#2
Journey, Forever Peaceful
Journey, Forever Peaceful
The Battle Pass light cone. Increases Shield Effect by 12–24% and grants all shielded allies 12–20% increased DMG. A strong, accessible alternative for players who purchase the Battle Pass even at S1.
battle pass
#3
Thus Burns the Dawn
Thus Burns the Dawn
An off-path limited 5-star with high base ATK (635+). After using Ultimate, gains "Blazing Sun" for 60–132% DMG boost. Most non-Preservation cones with at least 582 base ATK are valid options since traditional Preservation cones scale on DEF, which Permansor Terrae does not benefit from.
high atk option
#4
She Already Shut Her Eyes
She Already Shut Her Eyes
Grants Energy Regen and a teamwide DMG bonus, useful for reaching Ultimate faster and amplifying the whole team's output. A reliable 5-star fallback if other options aren't available.
alternative
#5
Day One of My New Life
Day One of My New Life
Budget option for players without a high-ATK cone. Increases DEF and grants all allies 8–12% All-Type RES after entering battle. Low base ATK is a significant drawback, but the teamwide RES keeps the team alive in high-pressure content.

Self-Enshrouded Recluse
Self-Enshrouded Recluse
His best-in-slot by a clear margin. The 2-piece increases Shield Effect by 10%. The 4-piece increases Shield Effect provided by the wearer by a further 12% and grants all shielded allies a 15% CRIT DMG bonus. Since Permansor Terrae's shields cover the whole team on his Skill and Ultimate, this passive CRIT DMG buff is permanently active on every ally in practice, making it an exceptional support set.

2
Self-Enshrouded Recluse (2pc) + Flex 2pc
Self-Enshrouded Recluse (2pc) + Flex 2pc
In DoT teams, the 4-piece CRIT DMG bonus is wasted since DoT units typically don't CRIT. In these cases run the 2-piece for Shield Effect and pair it with Messenger Traversing Hackerspace or Musketeer of Wild Wheat for SPD or ATK%.
2+2 mix
3
Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal
Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal
Specialist option specifically for Phainon. Increases the target's CRIT DMG by 18% per Skill or Ultimate cast on them, stacking twice. Since Permansor Terrae repeatedly designates Phainon as Bondmate, the 36% CRIT DMG stack can be reliably maintained. Only worth using over Self-Enshrouded if Phainon specifically requires the extra CRIT DMG more than the shield-wide effect.

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas
Lushaka, the Sunken Seas
Best planar set for Permansor Terrae. Increases Energy Regen Rate by 5% (critical for reaching his 135-cost Ultimate faster) and buffs the first-slot character's ATK by 12%, which typically benefits the main DPS. His hypercarry synergy and Energy needs make this clearly the top planar choice.
2-piece 93.9% player usage
2

City of Converging Stars
Increases Permansor Terrae's ATK by 24% when he uses a Follow-up ATK (Souldragon counts), and grants all allies 12% CRIT DMG when an enemy is defeated. Works well in multi-wave fights but requires kills to activate the CRIT DMG component.

Penacony, Land of the Dreams
Penacony, Land of the Dreams
Provides Energy Regen Rate and a 10% DMG boost to all allies sharing the same DMG type. Useful in Physical-heavy team compositions featuring Phainon or other Physical carries alongside Permansor Terrae.

Best Teams for Permansor Terrae

Permansor Terrae excels in hypercarry teams focused on a single ATK-scaling DPS. His Bondmate can only be assigned to one ally, so maximizing value means choosing a DPS who takes many turns per cycle. Avoid HP-loss carries like Blade, Mydei, or Castorice, as his shields counteract their mechanics.

Permansor Terrae's ATK buff and Souldragon FuA provide consistent sustain and offensive contribution during Phainon's downtime periods.

Permansor Terrae attaches Souldragon to Anaxa as Bondmate. Sunday's Skill gives 80% DMG bonus to characters with a summon (Souldragon qualifies), so Anaxa benefits from Sunday's full bonus even without his own summon. Souldragon is also advanced alongside the Bondmate when Sunday advances action, providing consistent shield refreshes in a fast-cycling burst loop.

Eidolons

E 1
Shed Scales of Old
When Permansor Terrae uses Ultimate, recovers 1 Skill Point and increases the Bondmate's All-Type RES PEN by 18% for 3 turns. The SP recovery is excellent for Skill Point-intensive DPS like Imbibitor Lunae or Qingque, and the RES PEN is a consistent offensive bonus for the Bondmate every time the Ultimate fires.
High QoL
E 2
Watch Trails to Blaze
Increases Souldragon enhancement stacks from 2 to 4. After Permansor Terrae uses Ultimate, Souldragon immediately advances action by 100%. When the enhanced Souldragon takes action, the Bondmate's Additional DMG becomes 200% of its original value and the Shield Effect provided becomes 200% of its original value. This Eidolon is the largest single power jump, dramatically boosting offensive and defensive capability.
Game Changer
E 3
Bear Weight of Worlds
Ultimate Lv. +2 (max 15) and Basic ATK Lv. +1 (max 10). The Ultimate level increase raises its Physical DMG output and slightly boosts shield values from the Ultimate cast, providing a meaningful but not transformative upgrade.
Solid Upgrade
E 4
By Oath, This Vessel Is I
Reduces the DMG taken by the Bondmate by 20%. A passive defensive improvement for your main DPS. Only relevant in very high damage scenarios and largely a stepping-stone toward E6 for players going full investment.
Niche Defensive
E 5
The Path of Permanence Sweeps Far
Skill Lv. +2 (max 15) and Talent Lv. +2 (max 15). Both levels increase shield values from the Skill cast and Souldragon respectively, providing incremental stat improvements to two important parts of his kit.
Incremental
E 6
One Dream to Enfold All Wilds
While the Bondmate is on the field, all enemies take 20% increased DMG. When the Bondmate deals DMG, ignores 12% of enemy DEF. When Permansor Terrae uses Ultimate, the Bondmate deals Additional DMG of their own element type to all enemies equal to 330% of the Bondmate's ATK. A potent offensive amplifier that fundamentally raises the team ceiling for the main DPS every cycle.
Massive Upgrade

Major Traces

Empyreanity
Ascension 2
When using Skill, increases ATK for the target who has become the Bondmate by an amount equal to 15% of Permansor Terrae's own ATK. This trace is the reason stacking ATK on Permansor Terrae benefits both his shields and his Bondmate's damage output simultaneously: the higher his ATK, the larger the buff he passes on.
Sylvanity
Ascension 4
When combat starts, Permansor Terrae advances action by 40%, letting him act early and set up Souldragon before the team needs shields. When the Bondmate uses an attack, Permansor Terrae regenerates 6 Energy and Souldragon advances action by 15%. A DPS who attacks frequently therefore directly accelerates both the next Ultimate and the next Souldragon shield refresh, making it a powerful passive engine in hypercarry teams.
Sublimity
Ascension 6
When Souldragon takes action, additionally provides a Shield equal to 5% of Permansor Terrae's ATK + 100 to the ally whose current Shield is the lowest, intelligently topping up whoever is most exposed. When the enhanced Souldragon takes action, additionally deals 1 instance of Bondmate-type DMG to the enemy with the highest HP equal to 40% of the Bondmate's ATK. Upgrades Souldragon from a passive refresher into an active offensive and defensive tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Permansor Terrae functions very well with Battle Pass option Journey, Forever Peaceful at S1, which provides Shield Effect and a teamwide DMG bonus. His signature Though Worlds Apart is an upgrade: it provides much more ATK (scaling shields and the Bondmate buff), heals on Ultimate, and grants the Redoubt DMG increase, but he is already excellent without it. Players without the signature should prioritize any off-path cone with a high base ATK of 582+ as a second choice.
The Bondmate is the ally Permansor Terrae assigns with his Skill. Only one ally can be the Bondmate at a time, and the tag transfers to whichever ally was most recently targeted. When an ally becomes the Bondmate, Permansor Terrae summons Souldragon for them. Souldragon acts at SPD 165 independently every turn, cleansing one debuff from all allies and providing a stackable shield. The Bondmate also receives an ATK buff equal to 15% of Permansor Terrae's ATK via the Empyreanity trace. The Bondmate is also the target of Souldragon's offensive Follow-up ATK when enhanced by the Ultimate, dealing damage that scales on the Bondmate's own stats.
The main DPS should almost always be the Bondmate. The ATK buff from Empyreanity scales on Permansor Terrae's ATK and is passed directly to them. Souldragon's enhanced Follow-up ATK also deals Additional DMG that scales on the Bondmate's ATK, meaning a high-ATK DPS generates more damage from those hits. In slower teams without high Skill Point generation, make sure the Bondmate takes multiple attacks per cycle so Sylvanity's Energy and Souldragon advance proc frequently. The Technique lets you pre-set the Bondmate before battle and gives a free Skill at the start of the fight.
No. HP-loss characters like Blade, Mydei, and Castorice require their HP to drop below certain thresholds to unlock bonuses and abilities. Permansor Terrae's persistent shields prevent HP from falling, which directly breaks their kit mechanics. Additionally, his ATK-based buffs do not synergize well with characters that scale primarily on Max HP. Avoid using him in those team compositions and opt for healers or HP-based sustainers instead.
The primary goal is to be fast enough to stay close to or slightly ahead of the team; being around team speed is priority one. The standard breakpoints of 134 and 160 are the main targets. More Speed is generally better since faster turns mean more frequent Skill/Ultimate uses and more shield refreshes, but there is no hard breakpoint outside 134/160 to prioritize over ATK once those are reached. Souldragon at SPD 165 also acts very frequently on its own, which supplements shield uptime regardless of Permansor Terrae's own speed.
E1 is a strong quality-of-life upgrade: SP recovery on Ultimate is excellent for Skill Point-hungry teams, and the 18% RES PEN on the Bondmate is a meaningful offensive bonus with no build cost. E2 is his biggest power breakpoint: it effectively doubles the Souldragon's enhanced state duration (2 to 4 actions), gives an immediate Souldragon turn after each Ultimate, and doubles both the Additional DMG and Shield Effect of enhanced actions. E6 is a large offensive multiplier but requires pulling through E4 (mostly passive) and E5 (incremental). E1 and E2 are the recommended stopping points for most players.
